3-Month AI Accessibility Roadmap

Based on user testing with 5 small business owners · Published March 2026

SimpleAI's mission is to make AI genuinely useful for people who weren't at the table when it was designed — small business owners, service workers, and non-technical operators who have real problems and no time to learn new tools. This roadmap translates direct user feedback into the three barriers we're removing next.

Reduce friction
AI barrier being removed
"I have to switch tabs, find the message, copy it, come back here, paste it. By the time I do all that I've lost the thread of what I was doing."
Features shipping this month
  • Google Reviews connector — paste a Google review URL and the tool fetches the review text automatically. No copy-paste required.
  • Gmail quick-paste button — browser bookmark that extracts the selected email text and opens SimpleAI pre-filled.
  • Mobile layout overhaul — responsive redesign so the tool works without frustration on a phone, where most small business owners read reviews.
User testing evidence
"I opened it on my phone and the text box was a bit cramped. Mobile layout could use a little love. — Tester E
"I've been putting off replying to a Google review for two weeks because I didn't know what to write. — Tester D

Build trust
AI barrier being removed
"The replies don't sound like me. They sound like a corporate HR department. My customers know how I talk — this would fool nobody."
Features shipping this month
  • Voice profile setup — users paste 2–3 replies they've written before. The AI extracts vocabulary, sentence length, and warmth level to build a reusable style profile.
  • Saved profile persistence — profile is stored locally (no signup required). Next visit, it loads automatically.
  • "Sounds like me" rating — a dedicated feedback signal (separate from helpful/not helpful) so we can measure voice accuracy over time.
User testing evidence
"It sounded like me — warm, genuine, not corporate. I'd just add my name at the bottom. — Tester B (positive outlier — most testers felt the opposite)
"It's too generic. It doesn't mention food, the experience, nothing specific to a restaurant. — Tester C

Reply History & Smart Templates
June 2026
Build confidence
AI barrier being removed
"I don't trust it to get it right every time. What if it says something wrong and I don't catch it? I need to feel in control."
Features shipping this month
  • Reply history — the last 20 replies a user generated are saved locally. They can review, copy, or reuse them without regenerating.
  • Save as template — star any reply to save it as a reusable template for common situations (e.g. "late order apology", "5-star thank you").
  • Inline editing — edit the generated reply directly in the output box before copying. Changes are preserved if you regenerate.
  • Situation prompts — pre-filled scenario buttons (Late delivery, Wrong order, Damaged item, Great service) that auto-populate the message field to remove the blank-page anxiety.
User testing evidence
"Could you let me regenerate with one click without clearing everything? Sometimes the first draft is close but not quite there. — Tester E
"I'd use it as a draft starter. The structure is good — I just need to add the specifics. — Tester C

North Star

From "interesting demo" to "I use this every week"

The goal of this quarter is not more features — it's closing the gap between a tool people try once and a tool that becomes a habit. Every item on this roadmap targets the moment a small business owner hesitates and closes the tab. We remove that hesitation, one barrier at a time.
